Valentine's Day Nail Inspiration x4

I know we're not in February yet, but I thought some of you out there would want a bit of inspiration for your nails as the Valentine's Day is coming up. After all, it's the perfect excuse to have cute, girly and possibly very pink nails. I came up with few designs I really liked, and they are all different in sense of techniques, difficulty and so on, so I'm hoping there's something for everyone.

Valentine's Nails With Born Pretty Store #4

Hello lovelies! How are you? ♥ I know I'm a little late with this post - sorry! - but life happened this weekend and it messed up my schedule pretty good. Saturday went by speding time with loved ones, and on Sunday, I was going to post on the evening but while we were driving home, something happened. We were driving 80 km/h, and in front of us was a truck driving. Suddenly a ginormous chunk of ice appeared from under the truck, and I had about a second to decide what to do. I wasn't going to try to take it with a tire (because who knows where the car would have flown from there), I couldn't take another lane because that was for people coming from opposite direction - and full, and I couldn't pull to the side because there was no room either. So I drove straight to the block. And our car broke. That left us driving to the nearest gas station, calling 20 calls to everyone and their mother, and then there was the question of getting home from 100 km away. So we took a train with our luggage and the insurance company arranged a towing for the car for Monday. The car is still on another town, and a mechanic there promised to get it fixed within a couple of weeks.

I'm happy to be alive and healthy, because that could've gone so badly. I have been extremely stressed because of this (and all the calls I've had to make) a couple of days, but it's getting better now. So, like I said, I'm sorry for the sad posting schedule this weekend, but better late than never, right?

Anyway, to lighter topic. Nails. Today I'm showing you the fourth design I created in collaboration with Born Pretty Store. And although the theme here was very much Valentine's day, I think these are cute whenever.

Valentine's Nails With Born Pretty Store #3

Hello lovelies! How are you all today? ♥ I'm currently traveling a bit, but still able to post this one for you. (Yay!) I was planning to post this today morning, but because of anxiety attack, I had to postpone this a bit. I hope that's cool with you. So, today, I'm sharing third of my Valentine's Day nail inspiration posts. The last one will be up tomorrow, so that you can see all the designs before the big day - in case you need some fancy nails for a V-day date.

But now, let's get to today's design:

Valetine's nails

Valentine's Nails With Born Pretty Store #1

Hello lovelies! How are you today? ♥ Who else loves all the pink things everywhere now that Valentine's Day is approaching? I know do. That's why today, I'm partnering up with Born Pretty Store to bring you some nail art inspiration for the holiday around the corner.

Valentine's Nails pt. 2 ♥

Hello lovelies!

How are you all today? ♥

Today's post is up later than usual as I've had so many things to do, and way too little time and energy to do them. Luckily, after tomorrow it's finally a new weekend and I can hopefully take it easy. Though I gotta say last night (Wednesday) gave me loads of new energy as we were seeing Amaranthe play at Pakkahuone. The Swedish band totally rocked the place and I definitely intend to see them again if I have the chance.

Today, I wanted to share my final two Valentine's manicures with you, and I hope I manage to inspire at least some of you.

DSC04912 (Large)

So the first one is this kind of modern pink mani with some gradient, studs and stamped little hearts. I felt this was a nice mani to wear, and I was trying to create a bit different thing here.

I did like wearing this mani, as it wasn't too obvious V-day thing, although on can certainly tell it fits the theme well.

DSC04914 (Large)

The polishes I used were China Glaze White On White, Feel The Breeze and Spring In My Step. The stamping was done with Born Pretty Store plates, and the studs are from there as well. Gradient was created with the help of a makeup sponge.

The other mani was kind of me trying out the hairspray technique for the first time. There are tutorials all over the internet for that, but I could create one as well if you'd like that. I also decided to practice my taping and hand painting.

This might seem too all over the place for some, and even I'm not sure if the two themes here go together, but I kinda liked these anyway.

The polishes I used were China Glaze White On White, Spring In My Step, Float On, Feel The Breeze, Escaping Reality and L'Oreal Color Riche Green Couture. I also used Born Pretty Store striping tape and thin nail art brush to paint the stripy rose nails.

So what do you guys think about these nail art creations? And how are you doing your nails on V-day? Let me know in the comments below!

Now, I'm gonna hit the bed and catch some much needed sleep so I can get some important project stuff done tomorrow. But I will see you soon with another post!

Have a lovely day ♥

Valentine's Nails pt.1 ♥

Hello darlings!

How was your weekend? ♥

I've been sleeping in and taking it (too) easy before yet another tight week. I will have so much going on that I'm not quite sure how I'm gonna pull through it all, but at least most of them are very nice things I'm quite looking forward to. Like a rock gig on Wednesday, dinner with my granny on Tuesday, and seeing hockey in another town on Saturday. Pretty cool.

Like you all probably know, Saturday is Valentine's Day. Although we don't have to big plans, I have been very excited to create some inspiration designs to give you dolls ideas what to do with your nails if you have a nice event to go to. Or if you just want to do yours for fun.

DSC04829 (Large)

First up are these kiss themed nails, which kind of worked as a chance for me to step more back into the stamping game. I personally really liked the way these nails turned out, and would honestly do this again any time.

DSC04817 (Large)DSC04810 (Large)

I really enjoyed creating these nails, as I got to play with different shades of pink and such. Also, to see that I'm not completely lost with the stamping was a nice addition to the mix.

DSC04805 (Large)

The polishes I used for these nails were China Glaze White On White, Spring On My Step, Feel The Breeze and Float On. The stamping polishes are from Konad stamping pack, and the pictures from Born Pretty Store stamping plates. The heart rhinestones are from Konad and the heart fimos from Tmart (collaboration goodies).

Next up, a set of bright red nails. I went for negative space half moons with glequins and heart accent nails.

DSC04852 (Large)DSC04857 (Large)

It was nice to do a kind of classic look for the nails for ones, and go with the beautiful shade of red. Even though I love playing with modern looks, it's nice to embrace the classics every now and then. That's why this was very dear to me even though it's not the usual stuff I do.

DSC04844 (Large)

The polishes I used were  China Glaze Seas The Day and Gossip Over Gimlets and the hexagon glitters (or glequins) are from Born Pretty Store. The half moons are done with paper hole enforcements, and the color there is just my natural nails.

So there's the first inspiration post for Valentine's nails, including bold, classic red and softer and playful pink design.

Which one would you wear? Let me know in the comments below! ♥

Next nail inspiration for Valentine's Day will be up on Wednesday, so stay tuned for that for more nail art ideas! I'm gonna go hit the bed now, because I'll be having quite much going on tomorrow and I need all my energy. But I'll be back soon with another post.

Have a fabulous day ♥

Valentine's Day Nail Art

Heya lovelies!

How are you all? ♥

I'm almost done with my week at work, and totally ready to welcome the weekend I'm gonna spend with boys, playing video games, watching sports and having drinks. But tomorrow (well, technically, today) is Valentine's Day, and even if I know we're not gonna do anything too special, I'm still pretty excited because it gives me an excuse to dress up or girly and cute - hopefully photos will follow!

Today, however, I wanted to share couple of V-Day nail art ideas with you. First of these is my actual Valentine's Day mani, and the second one is something I made already last month - and had a problem editing the pics...

 photo DSC07111Large.jpg

So, my Valentine's Day mani this year is a little mix 'n' match mani with lots of pink and hearts. Again, I was trying new things, so I'm not 100% happy with it, but it's pretty nice anyways.

 photo DSC07115Large.jpg

And my thumb says "love". Cute.

 photo DSC07118Large.jpg

I'm sorry for the little mess the nails might have, but my top coat was running low and I can't get another one before the weekend, so... Yeah. Awkward, I know.

 photo DSC06922Large.jpg

Okay, so, with this one, I had huge problems with the light, so I couldn't quite get the shades right... But try to look a bit past that, okay? I'm so bad with photo editing that it's hard for me to get the colors right, but I tried filters - and probably failed completely. :D

So this one, too, is a mix 'n' match mani, with gradient heart, a bow, triangle and glitter! I'm so, so sorry you can't see all it's cuteness here, like I said, the light was impossible to work with and I didn't have the chance to shoot the photos again. Boo.

 photo DSC06932Large.jpg

I will provide you with the instructions for the gradient heart later on, so if you're curious about that, just stay tuned!

 photo DSC06933Large.jpg

So, here are my little bits of inspiration for V-Day nails. I really hope you liked them, and tomorrow, I will be posting a little makeup haul for you to see (I'm super excited about that!).

What do you guys think about these? What will you wear on your nails on Valentine's Day? Comment below and let me know!

Now it's time to go get some sleep so that I will be up early to get all the things done before the boys get here, so good night for those reading this before going to sleep!

Have a lovely day ♥
