Red With Black & Pink Floral

Hello lovelies! How are you today? ♥ Today marks the last week before my holiday, and I'm so excited because I haven't had a consecutive week off from work in quite the time. Now, I just need to be super efficient this week so that I can go on my trip stress-free and come back home like that as well. Tomorrow, I will be talking more about where we are going, so stay tuned to find out a bit more of my plans!

Today, I really wanted to share two new nail designs with you, so let's get into that:

#31DC2015 - Red & Orange

Hey lovelies!

How are you all? ♥

I've been cleaning the home and baking and studying the whole day, so I haven't been too active online today. But I simply had to come share this nail art post before getting into Halloween stuff tomorrow. You ready to see the nail art?

Let's go.

DSC00062 (Large)

With this post, we're starting to go through my 31-day nail art challenge of the year. And as usual, it starts with red. I went with something easy, like red reverse half moons and leo print. I loved this quite a bit.

The detailed studs bring such a cool vibe to a manicure. You can get yours from Born Pretty Store, if you like them.

DSC00078 (Large)

The polishes I used were China Glaze Seas The Day, Ruby Pumps, Liquid Leather, What's She Dune and Golden Enchantment. And like mentioned, the studs are from Born Pretty Store.

The second theme was orange. I had no idea what to do with it but after some thinking I decided to practice my water marble and use it here. And it actually came out okay.

The pattern on the thumb didn't come up too nicely, but I kept it anyway to remind me to practice more in the future.

DSC00122 (Large)

The polishes I used were China Glaze Home Sweet House Music, Stoked To Be Soaked, Daisy Know My Name, Sun Upon My Skin and Golden Enchantment. The studs are from Born Pretty Store.

Overall, I liked these two designs and it's fun to be doing the 31-day challenge again. I'm around halfway now (you can see the latest on my Instagram) and will post all the designs here as fast as I can with the other posts around as well. As much as I would like to do this in 31 days, that's not really possible with my schedule as I also want to do somewhat inspired designs with neat outcome, so I don't want to create something I just wipe off the next day (unless it cracks, because then it's fair game to me).

What do you think about these nails? And, have you ever done this challenge? Let me know in the comments!

Now, I'm heading to bed, but tomorrow, because it's Friday, I will be posting my first Halloween post of the year. It will be up quite late (think about 10 to 12 at night) but I promise to post the first look. I will create new ones within the next week, so stay tuned on Instagram for sneak peeks. I'll see you all tomorrow!

Have a lovely day ♥

Classic Combo

Hello lovelies!

How are you today? ♥

I should be in bed already but I really wanted to come and share this quick little work outfit with you. More chit chat probably on next post, but today I just keep this simple and outfit-oriented. So let's see the look then, shall we?

DSC09190 (Large)DSC09210 (Large)DSC09188 (Large)DSC09214 (Large)DSC09207 (Large)DSC09201 (Large)

Blazer: H&M Pants: Mango Top: H&M Shoes: Nelly Necklace: Gina Tricot Bracelet: KappAhl Rings: H&M, Gina Tricot, JC, gift from a friend

So I was rocking this simple look to office a while back, and I think this was kind of a classic outfit with the black, white and red - and the heels. I loved wearing this and even though I'm sneaker kind of girl, I liked the heels quite a bit (gotta dress up some days, right?). Also I matched my lips to the pants and my nails to literally nothing, but I personally liked the whole thing a lot.

What do you guys think about this look? And what do you like to wear to office? Let me know in the comments!

Now, I'm seriously need to go catch some sleep so that I can get through the day tomorrow (so much to do!). I will see you guys tomorrow, or on Wednesday the latest, so stay tuned! You can also follow me on social media for more updates.

Have a lovely day ♥

Valentine's Nails pt.1 ♥

Hello darlings!

How was your weekend? ♥

I've been sleeping in and taking it (too) easy before yet another tight week. I will have so much going on that I'm not quite sure how I'm gonna pull through it all, but at least most of them are very nice things I'm quite looking forward to. Like a rock gig on Wednesday, dinner with my granny on Tuesday, and seeing hockey in another town on Saturday. Pretty cool.

Like you all probably know, Saturday is Valentine's Day. Although we don't have to big plans, I have been very excited to create some inspiration designs to give you dolls ideas what to do with your nails if you have a nice event to go to. Or if you just want to do yours for fun.

DSC04829 (Large)

First up are these kiss themed nails, which kind of worked as a chance for me to step more back into the stamping game. I personally really liked the way these nails turned out, and would honestly do this again any time.

DSC04817 (Large)DSC04810 (Large)

I really enjoyed creating these nails, as I got to play with different shades of pink and such. Also, to see that I'm not completely lost with the stamping was a nice addition to the mix.

DSC04805 (Large)

The polishes I used for these nails were China Glaze White On White, Spring On My Step, Feel The Breeze and Float On. The stamping polishes are from Konad stamping pack, and the pictures from Born Pretty Store stamping plates. The heart rhinestones are from Konad and the heart fimos from Tmart (collaboration goodies).

DSC04803 (Large)DSC04840 (Large)

Next up, a set of bright red nails. I went for negative space half moons with glequins and heart accent nails.

DSC04852 (Large)DSC04857 (Large)

It was nice to do a kind of classic look for the nails for ones, and go with the beautiful shade of red. Even though I love playing with modern looks, it's nice to embrace the classics every now and then. That's why this was very dear to me even though it's not the usual stuff I do.

DSC04844 (Large)

The polishes I used were  China Glaze Seas The Day and Gossip Over Gimlets and the hexagon glitters (or glequins) are from Born Pretty Store. The half moons are done with paper hole enforcements, and the color there is just my natural nails.

DSC04842 (Large)

So there's the first inspiration post for Valentine's nails, including bold, classic red and softer and playful pink design.

Which one would you wear? Let me know in the comments below! ♥

Next nail inspiration for Valentine's Day will be up on Wednesday, so stay tuned for that for more nail art ideas! I'm gonna go hit the bed now, because I'll be having quite much going on tomorrow and I need all my energy. But I'll be back soon with another post.

Have a fabulous day ♥

Red With Gray ♥

Heya everyone!

How are you all today? ♥

I'm typing on an ungodly hour (2:20am to be exact) since we had a little independent fire escape practice again at the building, and I find sleeping a bit tough after that. Oh well, at least it gives me a reason to blog. I noticed I have yet another wintery outfit to share with you, and this one also has some snow in the background. Not that we'd have that anymore, it's all practically gone. I hope that means spring, I have so many ideas for the warmer weather and ice-free sidewalks.

Anyhow, to the outfit:

Coat: Rukka/Intersport Hat: Tokmanni Scarf: secondhand Necklace: Gina Tricot Jeans: secondhand Boots: eBay Rings: JC, Gina Tricot, H&M

This was one of my favorite looks to wear this winter - yes, I consider winter being over already as the snow is mostly gone - and I can't wait to get to the full spring looks. There still will be some transition outfits for sure as the weather is still kinda cold, but hopefully I can already switch to lighter jackets/coats and maybe even wear skirts. ;)

But, let me know what you guys think about this look!

Now, I gotta go try and get some sleep before morning, when we gotta get up early and run some errands the the city. But I'll be back as soon as I can with more posts!

Have a fabulous day ♥

Sushi in Stripes

Hey babes!

Happy Saturday ♥

I hope you're all doing well, I'm currently trying to stomach Finland's awful hockey game against Sweden - they lost, but will get the chance to win bronze from either Switzerland or USA, we'll see. Anyone else watching the world cup now? :D

Also, tomorrow is exciting because I get to meet other bloggers from my town at the fashion flea market (Muotikirppis), I will have my camera with me, and try to take nice photos for you to see, too. Finnish readers: Kuinka moni on tulossa huomenna Pakkahuoneelle Muotikirppikselle? On varmaan hieno tapahtuma tiedossa ;)

Anyway, today I just wanted to share a couple of foodpics and an outfit I wore to have a coffee with a dear friend L a while ago.

 photo DSC00501Medium.jpg

These photos were taken in my favorite restaurant, Maruseki, which serves amazing Japanese food - I've eaten the best sushi so far in there. The food is always like art, it looks amazing and it also tastes fantastic!

 photo DSC00500Medium.jpg

A variety of sushi that I had the last time, every single piece was way too awesome ;)

 photo DSC00497Medium.jpg

Later that day, I went to see a friend I hadn't met for over a year, and as it was one of the first warm days, I dressed like it, too.

So, another quite simple and a bit rock chic look. I love the combination of black and red so much, and those tights are way too cool! I think many people thought I wasn't wearing any pants, so I got some pretty funny looks when I walk around dressed like that. I can assure that you'll be seeing more of those tights later on, as soon as I figure out what to combine them with.

But now, the word is yours: What do you think about this look? ♥

I'm off now, to watch more hockey, but I'll get back to blogging again tomorrow ;)

Have a fabulous day!

Blog ya later,

xoxo

Nailin' It

Hey babes!

How are you today? ♥

We've been busy arranging the move and all the little things that relate to it - but today we found some time for a little coffee & waffle date in the afternoon. It's only a week to go before the move, so there's so much to do every day!

Anyway, today I thought I'd share some more nail art with you - but I promise next one will be an outfit post, after a while :D So, here's two more nail art designs by me. :)

Photobucket

First one is a design many of you might have seen all over the internet, so more than purely my own design, this is a inspired design. Not an exact copy, but close enough to be called a copy. I used Roguish Red and I'm Not Lion by China Glaze, Blanc from Essie, and some random blue polish I had in my boxes.

Photobucket

I'm sorry for the failing cleanup, I've gotten better at since these photos, which you can see on my IG photos (the nick is @silvertigo, drop by and say hi anytime!). But these make me shake my head and laugh. I could make a post about cleaning up the manicure and other details, if you'd be interested to learn. Just let me know in the comments.

Photobucket

I think this mani would be awesome to  complete a navy-inspired look, but it could be also worn together with a LBD, which would make it a cute little accessory.

Photobucket

The other mani is a bit more me, like many would probably say. I'm sorry if some of you are getting sick of animal prints, because here's one more:

Photobucket

Pink manicure with free-hand gold glitter tips and leopard print accent nails.

Photobucket

I did these nails for my fiance's mom's graduation party - from which I have an outfit post (or two) coming up later this week. :)

Photobucket

The gold glitter here is once again I'm Not Lion from China Glaze, and the pink I can't quite remember, but I think it was some polish from Mavala.

Photobucket

How do you like these manicures? What are you wearing on your nails today? And, are there some nail care/nail art/etc. tips and/or tutorials you would like to see? Leave opinions and suggestions in comments ♥

Now I need to go and make some food for the love of my life - and then again I get to pack up some boxes and such... I'll try to be online, too, though, as I really have to catch up on blog reading.

Thank you so much for everyone who has been reading/following/commenting etc. lately. I'm way too busy ATM to respond everything immediately, but I'll be catching up after the move. ♥

Blog ya later,

xoxo
