Shorts Weather Already? ♥

Hello lovelies!

How are you all today? ♥

I've been doing stuff at home yet again, because somehow I wasn't feeling too fabulous today and decided to rest it out. Which has worked, since I think I can actually handle the rest of the week now. Today I wanted to post a couple of things about our previous trip to Helsinki, which was mostly about chilling and having fun with relatives.

First, the food. I had one of the best gluten free pasta dishes ever in Spaghetteria. Chicken, avocado, parmesan, pesto... That rarely goes wrong.

Snacks that night were also somewhat healthy, as I had chocolate covered sunflower seeds (so good I can't even), grapes, roasted corn with a hint of salt, and a GNAW chocolate. Of course I didn't eat that all, but without the Rocky Road bar I feel this was relatively healthy mix to have.

Great salad and a minute steak with bacon at Britannia. Seriously so good I totally would forget being skinny to have that every week or more. Six pack is nice, but food is even better, you know.

And then, of course some style pictures. The weekend we visited Helsinki, it was nearly warm enough for shorts with tights. Nearly. It's hard to believe, looking out the window today, as the snow has kept falling throughout the day. But I'm personally pretty confident the spring is here soon and I can finally wear more skirts and dresses without being all cold.

I don't know what exactly to say about this look. I really just loved wearing it, and I like the fact it has so much secondhand stuff there. I can almost say this is quite eco-friendly look with all the old clothes. But you guys know how I love my thrift shop buys. I could probably get about 80 percent of my clothes from thrift stores if I put a bit more effort to it. I know there are many people who think it's gross or not that cool to buy someone's old stuff, but I totally love it. I love thinking how the clothes already have a story when I get them, and that all the money doesn't go to the über big companies with millions of customers already. Blabbering much? Yes I am.

What do you guys think about this look? Let me know in the comments below!

I'm going to eat some healthy snacks now, and watch some series with my man before heading to bed. I hope you'll all have a great start to your week, and I will talk to you again as soon as I can. In the meanwhile, stay in touch with me via Instagram and Twitter (@silvertigo in both).

Have a fabulous day ♥

Candy Nails ♥

Hello my lovelies!

How was your weekend? ♥

I just finished a mountain of school work - or at least that's how it felt! And now, I feel I can actually get going with a new week, and probably a ton of new work as well. But the best part is, I have a bit shorter days and even if they aren't, I get to spend them with my darling girls. I have seriously missed them, no matter how nice the girls in my this week's group were.

But anyways, as I'm trying to backup my phone so that I can then start making it faster, I figured I should probably write up a little something for you guys. So, here you can see something inspired by our relatively new curtains:

A set of nails with candy print. If you don't recognize these, not to worry, as they are such a Finnish things. The interior decor print that inspired these, is Karkkipäivä (Candy Day) by Vallila Interior. Again, if you don't know, Vallila is a brand pretty well known here in Finland, and they make amazing prints for curtains and other textiles. If you are into interior stuff, you can check Vallila out here: http://www.vallilainterior.fi/en

I'm personally pretty crazy about the Karkkipäivä prints, as they remind me of my childhood. Why? Because the prints are clearly representing certain classic candies everyone in Finland has had as a child. For example, the fox print here is like the one in candies named Pihlaja (rowan), which is a candy that originally reminded the taste of the berries of that tree. Nowadays, it's much sweeter (to my taste, anyway) but still darn good.

...And my fox kinda looks like a badger but let's not bother too much about that, okay?

The colors used for this design were Essie Licorice, China Glaze White On White, China Glaze Seas The Day and a random yellow polish from H&M (that isn't sold there anymore). The rhinestones are again from Born Pretty Store, and the designs have been painted with thin nail art brushes and dotting tools. No stamping included.

These nails had so much to them that I really just wanted to show them on their own, without a comparison, but later on we will be back doing these in pairs so that I don't fill anyone's feed with just nail stuff. ;)

What do you think about these nails? Let me know in the comments below!

Now, I'm gonna try and get my phone backup done (it's taking ages), and in the meanwhile, I will do a new manicure. More on that hopefully tomorrow on Instagram and such, so stay tuned there. But as always, I will talk to you as soon as possible!

Have a great start for the new week ♥

Print Jeans ♥

Hello darlings!

How are you all today? ♥ I'm just getting through the last few days before Autumn break, so despite the grey and dull weather today, I'm feeling pretty awesome. Today, we finished two deadlines early with the girls, which I'm so, so happy about, because it's less things to do during the break. (Which then again means more time for me to create content for the blog. Everybody wins.) So only two days of strictly working, and then I can relax for a week.

And by relaxing, I mean taking a head start to Halloween and getting some fun tutorials ready for you guys.

But today, I really, really just wanted to share this casual little look with you all. I wore this to school before getting sick, when the weather, as well, were a bit more nice. Check out the look and let me know how you like it:

Print jeans: H&M, secondhand from a friend Knit: Object Boots: eBay Bag: Mango Scarf: Mango

This was a fun simple thing to wear to school on a day I didn't wanna think too much about what I was going to wear. But still, I think this was at least a bit put together (mostly because of the jeans). The print on them is just so crazy! I love them so much, and I got them from a friend who didn't need them anymore, so chicness of them compared to the price is pretty awesome. At least in my opinion.

Tell me your thoughts about this look in the comments below!

Now, I seriously need some tea, while editing some pictures for upcoming posts. There's a haul coming up, as well as an updated home tour, so I hope you guys will stay tuned for that.

Have a lovely day, dolls ♥

Iron Man ♥

Heya babes!

How are you all? ♥

So it was a bit crazy day today. I was at school until 7 pm, and I still feel I haven't recovered. The Russian lecture was literally too much for my head today. Anyway, I figured I'd post this outfit which I personally loved a lot.

So there you go, an outfit built around my Iron Man print skirt which I seriously love (and I can't wait for the Spring to properly use it again). I tried to create something with a bit of retro type of vibe to it, but it's totally up to you if I managed to do that.

Let me know your thoughts about this look in the comments below!

Now, I gotta go catch some sleep. I have 6:30 am wake up, so I shouldn't even be typing this late. But, what can you do if there's only so many hours in a day and you have so much to do... (And, I gotta get the old posts over and done with before the Halloween ones.) I'll see you guys soon!

Have a lovely day ♥

Let's be friends in IG!
