Foodie Post: Spiced Up Hot Chocolate ♥

Hello my darlings!

How are you all? ♥

I've been so freaking busy today with the full apartment cleanup, homework and math class. Like seriously, this stuff never ends! But even with all this craziness, I sometimes take a minute and just have a nice beverage or such. Like this one, that I'm about to show you. I got this recipe from my mom, and it was pretty good!

Spicy Hot Chocolate

2 servings:
4dl (1 3/4 cups) milk
3 tablespoons cocoa powder
1 teaspoon real vanilla
½ teaspoon cardamom
½ teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon coconut flakes
pinch of salt and chili powder

Pour milk into a blender together with other ingredients and mix well, using the maximum power. Warm up and pour into cups

...or you can do like I did, which was putting it all into a pan and whisking well together. I definitely need to buy a working blender...

And, if you, like me, don't care too much about few extra calories, you can top it off with whipped cream. Though, you may not even need that. This isn't particularly sweet - at least mine wasn't - so if you like the sweet kind more, I suggest adding something to make it more so.

But I do recommend trying this out, especially during these cold months were facing now. At least here in Finland.

Do you have any fun cold day treats I could try out? Let me know in the comments below!

Now, I'm gonna go watch some TV for a while and then get some sleep, as tomorrow, I have so, so many things to do! But talk to you soon!

Have a lovely day, and thank you for being an awesome reader ♥

Hobo Chic ♥

Hello lovelies!

How has your week started? ♥

I have been hunting a new laptop for myself, as last week this one started giving me serious signs of getting too old. Also, I was reunited with my lovely girls, which made me - and apparently the girls as well - so, so happy. And, I managed to schedule all my tasks for the first half of the week, in a doable way. That means I'm finally properly grasping the fine art of time management. Yay for that!

Anyway, this time I wanted to share this quick outfit post with you. This is from a while back, when there still were leaves on trees.

Fur vest: Only Denim jacket: secondhand Dress: Boohoo Scarf: Boohoo Tights: Seppälä Boots: SpiritStore Beanie: from my mom

So this was my attempt to go bit of hobo chic with an outfit. I don't usually (at least intentionally) do so, so it was pretty fun to try something new. This was for weekend errands, and it was very comfy to wear. Also, the purple lips were a step outside my comfort zone so that was cool. Even though they are kinda maybe clashing with the colors of the scarf... Oh well, you live, you learn.

What do you guys think about this look? Let me know in the comments below!

Now, I will get my stuff ready for school and then enjoy some SATC before going to sleep. (I need to tidy up our living room a bit from the weekend ;)) But I'll talk to you as soon as I can.

Have a lovely week you all ♥

Candy Nails ♥

Hello my lovelies!

How was your weekend? ♥

I just finished a mountain of school work - or at least that's how it felt! And now, I feel I can actually get going with a new week, and probably a ton of new work as well. But the best part is, I have a bit shorter days and even if they aren't, I get to spend them with my darling girls. I have seriously missed them, no matter how nice the girls in my this week's group were.

But anyways, as I'm trying to backup my phone so that I can then start making it faster, I figured I should probably write up a little something for you guys. So, here you can see something inspired by our relatively new curtains:

 photo DSC02519Large.jpg

A set of nails with candy print. If you don't recognize these, not to worry, as they are such a Finnish things. The interior decor print that inspired these, is Karkkipäivä (Candy Day) by Vallila Interior. Again, if you don't know, Vallila is a brand pretty well known here in Finland, and they make amazing prints for curtains and other textiles. If you are into interior stuff, you can check Vallila out here: http://www.vallilainterior.fi/en

I'm personally pretty crazy about the Karkkipäivä prints, as they remind me of my childhood. Why? Because the prints are clearly representing certain classic candies everyone in Finland has had as a child. For example, the fox print here is like the one in candies named Pihlaja (rowan), which is a candy that originally reminded the taste of the berries of that tree. Nowadays, it's much sweeter (to my taste, anyway) but still darn good.

...And my fox kinda looks like a badger but let's not bother too much about that, okay?

The colors used for this design were Essie Licorice, China Glaze White On White, China Glaze Seas The Day and a random yellow polish from H&M (that isn't sold there anymore). The rhinestones are again from Born Pretty Store, and the designs have been painted with thin nail art brushes and dotting tools. No stamping included.

These nails had so much to them that I really just wanted to show them on their own, without a comparison, but later on we will be back doing these in pairs so that I don't fill anyone's feed with just nail stuff. ;)

What do you think about these nails? Let me know in the comments below!

Now, I'm gonna try and get my phone backup done (it's taking ages), and in the meanwhile, I will do a new manicure. More on that hopefully tomorrow on Instagram and such, so stay tuned there. But as always, I will talk to you as soon as possible!

Have a great start for the new week ♥

Born Pretty Store Autumn Haul ♥

Hello you guys!

How are you all today? ♥

I'm happy to tell that my project week is over, we didn't win anything except ourselves maybe, but it was pretty fun and all. Though I'm also relieved to get back to the normal school stuff and everything. Also, because it's snowy outside today, I'm hoping to get an outfit shoot done before we go grocery shopping today, because I think snow pictures tend to look so cute.

But today, I wanted to share this haul from few weeks back. I ordered these back in September, I think, but because of delivery time, Halloween madness and school, I only get to show these for you now. Hope it's any nice though - and I think at least most of these, if not all, are still available on Born Pretty Store.

Let's see what I got then, shall we?

 photo DSC02685Large.jpg

So this is the whole pile of things. Not whole lot of stuff, and they are very affordable as well, so I didn't feel too bad buying them. As you can see, it's mostly nail art stuff, so if you don't care about that, you better wait for the next post. ;)

 photo DSC02689Large.jpg

Firstly, I bought some rings and couple of cell phone accessories. With the cell phone stuff, my headphones will stay untangled and the bow is a dust plug. I think the bow is so cute with my penguin case, and I need to get a photo of that for you later on.

 photo DSC02690Large.jpg

I've never been that much into wearing watches, until lately in life, so I got these ones to sort of practice with. Though, like any fashion forward girl in the world, I do kind of dream of those designer watches, and will get one at least when I get a proper job.

 photo DSC02698Large.jpg

Some nail wraps for busy times (though when do I ever get so busy I can manage painting my nails? Never..

 photo DSC02701Large.jpg

And stickers and decals for easy decorating. If you dream about making different nails, but painting ain't your thing, I strongly recommend trying out water decals. They are easy to use and they last a long time when you just add a top coat. I can try to make a tutorial for that when I manage to make a proper set up. I would love to film some nail tutorials for you, if you guys are up for that!

 photo DSC02702Large.jpg

Hair chalk. As you may have seen on my Instagram, I have been loving these lately for more or less special occasions. I would kind of love to dye my hair, or at least the tips cotton candy pink, but so far I haven't dared to try that out. Should I go for it though?

 photo DSC02706Large.jpg

Then to the nail stuff. These diamond shape sequins looked so fabulous I couldn't pass them up. And I have seen amazing placement manis with them, so maybe when I have time, I might try something like that myself.

 photo DSC02717Large.jpg

"Animal print" studs, because you can't have too much animal print. Or studs, for that matter.

 photo DSC02718Large.jpg

Brightly colored jelly studs, as I'm a sucker for the bright colors on nails. I have never tried out this kind of studs before so I'm curious to see how they work.

 photo DSC02719Large.jpg

More studs, because I just need them so much. Or something.

 photo DSC02720Large.jpg

Black rhinestones in different sizes.

 photo DSC02721Large.jpg

Clear rhinestones, with normal finish and with a bit of a rainbow finish. Don't look too different to some, but I can personally see the difference clearly and that's enough for me. And you know, a girl needs diamonds. ;)

 photo DSC02723Large.jpg

Black rhinestones with colorful glaze on top. I love these and can't wait to try them!

 photo DSC02725Large.jpg

Huge wheel full of triangle studs ♥ You know why I love these, right?

 photo DSC02728Large.jpg

And last but not least, gold and silver foils. I've been dying to try these out for a while, and finally decided to by them. As you may have seen on Instagram, I have tried the gold one already and I loved it. More on that once I get the photos up on the blog! ♥

What do you think about my haul, and what would you think about nail art videos? Let me know in the comments below!

Now, I need to get ready for the outfit pics and check out some F1 practice while I do so, but I'll talk to you as soon as possible. Love you all!

Have a fun weekend, dolls ♥
