Hi everyone!

How are you all? ♥ And Happy December!

I was supposed to post this on Friday, but our car decided to be stubborn once again, and hence, no time to post. Oh well. I've been spending my Saturday with my man, having a nice dinner in a lovely restaurant, watching Star Wars and playing NHL13, so it's been a pretty lazy day. Not that I'd mind, weekends are made for that. I'm nearly done with my puzzle decoration, and I'm sure I'll have a picture of it on the next post. ;) Tomorrow we're supposed to go shopping for a winter coat for my fiance, which'll be fun for me because of the shopping ban. Lol.

But there's still things I will get, ones I've talked about with the man of the house. What? Some little things for our interior decor. I have such an urge to redecorate our apartment, even though we're so much planning to find a new one. These are the moments that remind me I'm a woman, so unable to decide and stick to one plan.

But before I go and start to photograph my next nail art tutorial, here's some pictures of my nail art a while ago. Both manicures have accent nails, which is a thing I seem to love a lot when it comes to nail art. Ready to see them? Alright, here we go:



The first one today is very pink and glittery, with diamonds and rhinestones. I think I could've done a better job with the accent nail, but it was a fun idea at the time.



The pink polish used here is Hello Gorgeous, which is from this year's Breast Cancer Awareness collection. (The collection is called United in Purpose, and all the polishes are absolutely amazing.) I also have a darker version of this, called United, which will be featured in future nail art posts.

And the other one is much more dark and matte. I was using a basic black polish and matte top coat.



I'm sorry for the bit chipped look, I didn't have the chance to shoot these before the tips wore out. :( Anyway, this was a fun manicure because I don't usually do this dark art, simply because it's so messy to clean up. The caviar is from MUA Cosmetics, and it's one of the Nail Constellation pieces. The clear beads are supposed to be turquoise, but somehow the color wore out from them. Go figure. (And no, it was NOT because of top coat, I never use that with caviar.)



I know the pictures aren't the best ones of the bunch, and the blame is all on me on that, but please don't hate me for it. ♥

This was - I think - a bit unusual look for me, but it felt nice at the time. And it looked pretty nice, I think combining the super girly skirt with the nude blazer creates this girly but sophisticated look and it would be quite flattering for most body types. The scarf I got from mom is such a gem, and prefect to wear in those not-too-cold-but-that-warm-either days we all experience when the Autumn starts to turn into Winter.

What do you think about this combination? Do you like to wear these toned down shades, or are you more into brights?

Anyway, I'm off now to finish off the puzzle before some sleep - and tomorrow shall be another extremely busy day. Thank God Friday is a day off. And I promise a fun post then, so stay tuned! ♥

Hey lovelies!

How are you all? ♥

Today, I'm having this verbal test in business English, and I just hope everything will go well. Not that it's hard, but I fear that I'll have some blackout and forget the words. But, I shall not worry about it. I hardly think one could actually fail it. :D

Another thing I've been concentrating lately, is getting rid of clutter. Both real life as well as on my laptop. I recently realized my hard drive was only having 18% space left, so now I'm going through some serious clean up there as well. I kinda hoped I could just leave the cleaning to closet and the little everyday cleaning, but no. I feel like I have to organize and re-organize every single thing. But that might be a good thing, right?

So, today's post is about (besides my blabbering) nails. I have two pretty nice manicures to share with you, both probably in top 10 of my manicures ever! :) If you want to learn something about my nail art, see here and here for tutorials. The first manicure is done with this gorgeous hologram polish from Make Up Store. It looks very neutral and sandy in the bottle, but once on your nails, it has the most fabulous holo effect in every color. I thought a caviar ring finger in metallic pastel shades would compliment it well, and because I always have to add everything possible to every manicure, I put a piece of striping tape across every nail. It's still pretty simple, and looking at this now, I think I need to do and interpretation of this soon. ;)





And one picture in daylight. I was seriously taking too many photos of this because I liked it so much!

The other mani is more colorful and maybe less elegant, but it was so much fun to create. ;)



Cupcake nails! For some idiotic reason this blogger was dumb enough to not take many different pictures of these nails... Oh well. Luckily this picture shows everything about the mani, so you're not missing out. I've been asked to do a tutorial of these babies, so that's something I need to work on this weekend. And sorry about the misshaped thumb nail, it had a little accident but I didn't want to cut it down.

Hi peeps!

Did you have a nice Thanksgiving/Black Friday/weekend? ♥

I sure have. It's been one of those weekends that are purely made out of relaxing and watching sports. It was the final F1 race of the year, and it was so much fun. Though I wish it would've rained more. But at least Sebastian Vettel won the championship, which is pretty awesome.

Anyway, now I can fully commit to schoolwork on weekends. At least, almost.

Still interested how my shopping ban is going? I haven't bought a single makeup, clothing, nail art or other "superficial" item since starting the ban. I do admit ordering a Star Wars blu-ray box for us, as well as placing a quite massive order to MUA Cosmetics, but as entertainment doesn't count - and I had promised the MUA 35% sale for myself weeks before the ban, I don't think it's that much cheating.

As many of you have spent the past few days with your families, I thought it would be nice to share some photos from the last time we visited my parents. Not quite Thanksgiving, but I think this comes close enough.

I think my parents have the best feel-good snacks ever, and I think most of my love for food comes straight from them.



Last time we went to visit them, this was the table that was set up just for us. I was practically jumping with joy when I saw this, too many delicious things at once!





Cheese, fruit, nuts... My food heaven.



And of course, couple of glasses sparkling wine. My favorite as well. My parents were laughing a bit when I was taking pictures of everything, but like always, they were very supportive.



There's simply nothing better than spending the weekend with loved ones - and good food. That weekend also included a fierce match of Trivial Pursuit, where me and mom were the top dogs. And I won, but mostly because there was so many video games questions. (Which I know, but mom doesn't.) All in all, it was a super fun and relaxing weekend.

And here's one of my outfits for that weekend. I was still thinking the weather is warm enough for not wearing jeans or such - which it kinda wasn't - so I opted for long top, blazer and tights.

A simple outfit, where I was using top as a dress, and just threw a blazer on top, and thought that's an outfit. I love, love, love the sequined top, it's so very cool - and can be combined with many things. I had been looking for similar for quite a while, and was glad to find one from BlueInc in very affordable price. There's also other cool items, which I'm hoping to buy once my ban is over. ;) Also, the shoes here are on for the very first time, though I bought them, like, in August. They were surprisingly comfy to walk in, and I can tell you'll be seeing more of these babies later.

What are your thoughts about this outfit? And, how would you wear sequins this season? 

As we are now talking about holidays, especially Thanksgiving, I wanted to share these fun facts about the Black Friday (and the shopping part of it) with you. (Which is more than suitable as I'm in shopping ban, and study business, both of which make to think finance stuff quite a lot.)

So it's quite amazing how much we women spend on holiday shopping - Black Friday being only one example of many. Kinda baffling, right?
