Hi sweeties,

Sorry for the delay with this post, but the summer got the best of me, and I haven't turned on my laptop since Saturday. :D Anyway, I wanted to come and share this post with you before going to sleep.

Today I have two new manicures for you, both pretty neutral ones - beware, there'll be lots of neon ones to come soon! - and well... I don't have much else to say before showing the photos, really.



The first one is my first ever attempt on rosary nails, and I really quite liked these nails. The base is Ciaté Cookies And Cream, and the rosary is drawn with a thin nail art brush and a small dotting tool, using Essie Licorice.



I'm quite sure I will do this manicure again - at least with different colors. It looks pretty nice, doesn't it? The only thing I wasn't happy with was the cross, but next time it'll get better, I'm sure.





The other mani has a bit more color - but wouldn't probably qualify as a colorful manicure :D Another design I really liked, even though I say so myself. But with leopard, turquoise and gold, you can hardly go wrong.



I used China Glaze Aquadelic, China Glaze I'm Not Lion, China Glaze Kalahari Kiss and Essie Licorice. And I used a dotting tool for decorating.

I need to go get some sleep now - we're heading to spend the day at a beach tomorrow, and then we'll meet up with some people to play minigolf and have a blast. I only hope that it won't rain too much, haha.

Happy Tuesday ♥

How are you all doing this week?

I'm eagerly waiting for the weekend, since it's going to be a long one, and I can enjoy it fully - as long as I work hard on my school assignments these few days before that. I love how it's getting more sunny and warm every day, and that also makes me wanna dress and do my nails more Spring-likely. (I think that's not even a real word... Oh, well.)

So, as the title suggest, today I'll be showing you some nail art once again. These are something I created for the first really sunny days of this Spring.

So first up are these fun polka dot nails inspired by Samantha from PackAPunchPolish, she is super talented and extremely nice, and those of you who love amazing nail art should totally check out her nail blog! ♥



So, I made mine with warm, bright colors, and I thought the outcome was really nice, although somehow the striping tape did create some nasty lines in between. Well, you can't create perfect without a lot of exercise, right?



The colors I used for this were a random bright orange by H&M, Sun-Kissed by China Glaze, Speed Dial by Ciaté, and Escaping Reality by China Glaze (which shows off weirdly purple... lol)



The other mani was inspired by a picture I saw while searching Google for inspiration, and here's what I created:



Butterfly wings with a very subtle ombre effect. I hadn't tried this before and was surprised how easy this was. I think this would make a fun tutorial post, what do you think? (of course, you can find video tutorials from YouTube right away if you wish :D)



It was the first time in a long while that I used China Glaze Aquadelic (bottle in the pictures), and I have to say I had forgotten how nice it actually looks.



Also, sorry about the weird shape of the index finger, I didn't wanna cut it down just then so I tried to make it look humane despite the corner dropping off... Not a huge success.

Heya lovelies!

How are you today? ♥

I'm having an extremely busy day once again, which is why I had written this one beforehand for you to read. I can't believe that in couple of days we will be already living in our new apartment! To make everything easier, I'm cutting classes this week so I can use the time for packing. And no, I don't recommend cutting classes for you, my younger readers, and I assure you, I'll be keeping up with the study material after the move when I will have the time for that. ;)

This week is also different because I will be having nude/bare nails for the whole week (from Monday to Sunday) to let my nails breathe - but that is why I have these nail posts in store for you. Even if I don't have the time to create anything for posts for one week, that still doesn't stop me from blogging. And that's a security I love.

Now, today's post, as the title suggest, is about nail art I've done with Ciaté products. Some of you might remember the calendar I had for this Christmas (if you want, you can see it here!), and might remember it was full of nail art stuff. I was very, very curious to try Ciaté, as I had only heard about the polishes. They are so pricey to get in Finland that I haven't been able to get them. Until I got the calendar.

 (And speaking about nail polishes and prices, I might just have the perfect thing for you all later on. I'll be testing an online store that sells one of my favorite brands on great prices - and I'll be sharing the whole experience with you next month or so. Stay tuned!)



First up is this girly little mani I did with baby pink Ciaté polish, topping it with some Konad stamping, and creating a nice sparkly accent nail with two silver polishes.



I've somehow taken my nail art down a little bit - not as many colors and details in one mani, and more classic elements. I don't know if it's affected by the simple and classic Spring fashion, but does that really matter? :D



I wish the stamp would've been more visible - later I discovered it's more efficient to use other than Konad polishes.



The other mani today was even more simple than the first one. I used this gorgeous black polish with gold glitter in it, and topped off the accent nail with a golden crackling polish from MUA.





This was one of those rare occasions I tried to take a daylight shot for a comparison to the ones taken with flash. I don't know if this really gives anything more to you, but I decided to add it in anyways.



So, two simple manicures, both based on amazing Ciaté polishes.

How are you? ♥ 

It's not a big secret I'm such a child at heart - that's why, even at the age of 22, I can't help but want an advent calendar. This year, though, I wanted something different. 

What do I mean by different?

Ciaté's Mini Mani Month calendar ♥

I had seen this beauty in some blogs and Instagram accounts and was dreaming about it - but couldn't even dream of actually buying it, before my mom said she would get one for me. Needless to say, I was over the moon. Thanks again, mom, it's amazing! Love you ♥ 

For those who don't know, Mini Mani Month is an amazing calendar, featuring 20 mini bottles of Ciaté polishes and 4 bottles or caviar beads. 3 of the nail polishes are exclusively for these calendars, which I think is super exciting. You can imagine how many manicures these all make possible to create.

I love the design of the calendar very much, the abstract geometric pattern is cool enough for a couture sweater, and the colorful lids make it fun (though maybe too easy) to find each day's polish. I also love the way they've printed fun facts, quotes and such on the inside of every lid.

I only got this yesterday, so I had 10 days' work to do with the calendar. The mini bottles are exactly that - mini. But I'm confident that I can do many manicures with each before the polish runs out. 

A closer look to the first caviar bead bottle to pop out. This one is called Prom Queen, and it has blue, pink/purple and silvery beads and hexagon glitter to it. I can't wait to see the other three!

After freeing the first ten bottles from their little "prisons", I took the time to admire the fun shades I got.

There's the caviar beads, two different shades of white, pink (which doesn't show here), dark red, purple....

...baby pink, gray, bright red, and a curious glittery shade. I wonder what tomorrow might bring?

So here you have it - a spoiled girl's calendar, a nail enthusiast must-have, and the perfect treat for a blogger in shopping ban to make it through this month without shopping. :D I'm super excited I finally got this, and I had to share this with you right away, even though I have a ton of things to post for you that should come before this... Oh well.

Hi everyone!

How are you all? ♥ And Happy December!

I was supposed to post this on Friday, but our car decided to be stubborn once again, and hence, no time to post. Oh well. I've been spending my Saturday with my man, having a nice dinner in a lovely restaurant, watching Star Wars and playing NHL13, so it's been a pretty lazy day. Not that I'd mind, weekends are made for that. I'm nearly done with my puzzle decoration, and I'm sure I'll have a picture of it on the next post. ;) Tomorrow we're supposed to go shopping for a winter coat for my fiance, which'll be fun for me because of the shopping ban. Lol.

But there's still things I will get, ones I've talked about with the man of the house. What? Some little things for our interior decor. I have such an urge to redecorate our apartment, even though we're so much planning to find a new one. These are the moments that remind me I'm a woman, so unable to decide and stick to one plan.

But before I go and start to photograph my next nail art tutorial, here's some pictures of my nail art a while ago. Both manicures have accent nails, which is a thing I seem to love a lot when it comes to nail art. Ready to see them? Alright, here we go:



The first one today is very pink and glittery, with diamonds and rhinestones. I think I could've done a better job with the accent nail, but it was a fun idea at the time.



The pink polish used here is Hello Gorgeous, which is from this year's Breast Cancer Awareness collection. (The collection is called United in Purpose, and all the polishes are absolutely amazing.) I also have a darker version of this, called United, which will be featured in future nail art posts.

And the other one is much more dark and matte. I was using a basic black polish and matte top coat.



I'm sorry for the bit chipped look, I didn't have the chance to shoot these before the tips wore out. :( Anyway, this was a fun manicure because I don't usually do this dark art, simply because it's so messy to clean up. The caviar is from MUA Cosmetics, and it's one of the Nail Constellation pieces. The clear beads are supposed to be turquoise, but somehow the color wore out from them. Go figure. (And no, it was NOT because of top coat, I never use that with caviar.)



I know the pictures aren't the best ones of the bunch, and the blame is all on me on that, but please don't hate me for it. ♥
