Easy-Going ♥

Heya everybody!

So, guess who had an interesting tech issue last night? That's right, me! I don't understand why, but my Chrome hates YouTube so much that it has to break off the sound every time I open a new tab, switch tabs, close tab etc. So I was trying to fix that and that's why I didn't get this post up. But I'll give you that now, if that's okay.

Today's post is just a simple outfit I wore for the first day back school, when I wanted something laid back and comfy.

Knit: Boohoo Jeans: H&M Top: Primark Sneakers: Boohoo Bag: Mango Necklace: H&M

Simple look with tones of gray mixed with burgundy. I totally loved this combo and will probably wear something like this later on this fall. I'm so happy I get to show you the school looks now as I have photographed them for the three weeks I've already been in school. ;)

Let me know what you think about this look? Let me know in the comments below!

Now, I will go enjoy the rest of the night with my boys, tomorrow I will absolutely take the time to write something for you as I feel the need to get my outfit posts out here. :)

Have a lovely weekend ♥

Aztec Skirt ♥

Hello everyone!

How are you all? ♥

The weekend went by super fast with the boys and I didn't have the mood for opening the laptop. Instead, we went to movies, played the disgusting jelly bean challenge (or bean boozled challenge, look it up on YouTube) which I lost, as well as had fun with video games and such. So sorry for the absence, but I'm here now.

Also, as I mentioned before, on Friday I needed to get some medical testing done and in few days I should be getting the results. Again, nothing serious, it's just something my doctor recommended as I've been having some panic attacks and such. No biggie.

Anyways, on a lighter note, today I really wanted to share this outfit with you. It is almost autumn-appropriate with the colors and all, but I choose to wear it in spring. Because I can, you know. Break the rules.

 photo DSC08149Large.jpg photo DSC08160Large.jpg

I absolutely love this aztec skirt and anything burgundy, even when it's not autumn. I don't like to classify colors to any typical season, as that's really not what personal style is about. Trends are cool and can be inspiring, but I never want to be tied down because of them.

 photo DSC08181Large.jpg photo DSC08190Large.jpg photo DSC08153Large.jpg photo DSC08173Large.jpg photo DSC08197Large.jpg

These boots are another thing I really, really love about this look. I hope the weather would be less wet so I could rock these babies more now.

Skirt: NewYorker Boots: Boohoo Knit: Boohoo Jacket: H&M Necklace: Gina Tricot

So a little bit of a girly look this time, this one is something I really loved wearing. I'm so excited the weather is getting warmer little by little so that I can actually get away with wearing more and more summer-like looks.

Now, I would like to know what you all think about this look. Let me know your thoughts in the comments below!

Now, I'm going to concentrate on food and ice hockey, but I'll be back tomorrow with some nail art.

Happy Mothers' Day to all amazing mothers out there, and to you all, have a fabulous start for your week ♥

Red, Black, White ♥

Hey lovelies!

How are you all? ♥

Again, I'm posting super late, but today I'm really struggling getting everything done before the guests arrive, so I'm cutting some hours off my sleeping time (kids, never do the same!) as I didn't want to not blog today. I still need to tidy up the place a bit in the morning, so I guess I'll end up with like 4 hours of sleep or something. But thankfully, on Sunday I get to sleep in a bit and on Wednesday I'll actually have a day off for once!

Anyway, today I just wanted to quickly share a simple outfit with you before going to plan one for tomorrow's hockey game.

 photo DSC07190Large.jpg

This outfit is something I wore couple of weeks ago when I was hanging out with the boys, bowling, playing pool, etc. But I still tried to keep a bit girly, so I added some red to the bottom and on my lips as well.

So, this was my chill out outfit, very simple with colors I really like, and it also has two secondhand items which is always a plus.

But now, let me know: What do you think about this look? ♥

I need to go pick up my clothes for tomorrow and then get some sleep. I'll get back as soon as I can - on Monday by the latest - and I also try to update my Instagram, Twitter or Facebook during the weekend so you can catch me there if you need me!

Have a fabulous weekend ♥

Red With Gray ♥

Heya everyone!

How are you all today? ♥

I'm typing on an ungodly hour (2:20am to be exact) since we had a little independent fire escape practice again at the building, and I find sleeping a bit tough after that. Oh well, at least it gives me a reason to blog. I noticed I have yet another wintery outfit to share with you, and this one also has some snow in the background. Not that we'd have that anymore, it's all practically gone. I hope that means spring, I have so many ideas for the warmer weather and ice-free sidewalks.

Anyhow, to the outfit:

A red-gray look with casual elements, and me rediscovering one of my favorite shirts.

Coat: Rukka/Intersport Hat: Tokmanni Scarf: secondhand Necklace: Gina Tricot Jeans: secondhand Boots: eBay Rings: JC, Gina Tricot, H&M

This was one of my favorite looks to wear this winter - yes, I consider winter being over already as the snow is mostly gone - and I can't wait to get to the full spring looks. There still will be some transition outfits for sure as the weather is still kinda cold, but hopefully I can already switch to lighter jackets/coats and maybe even wear skirts. ;)

But, let me know what you guys think about this look!

Now, I gotta go try and get some sleep before morning, when we gotta get up early and run some errands the the city. But I'll be back as soon as I can with more posts!

Have a fabulous day ♥

Detailed vs. Simple ♥

Hey lovelies!

How are you all? ♥

Who else watched the Olympics this weekend? I was so excited about the ice hockey medal games - and for those who don't follow sports, team Finland won bronze against team USA which was quite an achievement for the team, even if we had Selänne, Timonen, Salo and other awesome players. I'm so proud of the team, it was great experience for the young players and a great way from some of the older ones to end their journey in the national team. So again, thank you team Finland, thank you Teemu Selänne, and Tuukka Rask, you rock! Awesome playing.

Also I'm so happy for team Canada for winning the gold, totally deserved win!

Luckily, after a week it's time for the Oscars, so I don't have the time to be upset about the Olympic hockey to be over. I need to make some great food and such for the event - hopefully I can make a themed post before Sunday about the snacks and stuff so maybe you can enjoy the same things I do. ;)

But anyways, now to the real topic today, nails:

 photo DSC06807Large.jpg

First up is this pretty detailed burgundy-gold-navy mani I created last month. And it's appropriately shot with a golden jewelry, haha.

 photo DSC06818Large.jpg

I'm not sure where I was going with this mani, but apparently I tried many things that happily go together well.

 photo DSC06815Large.jpg

 photo DSC06800Large.jpg

The polishes I used for this mani are Essie Thigh High, China Glaze Goldie But Goodie, Essie Liqorice and Ciaté Power Dressing. The giraffe print is from a Born Pretty Store plate QA25, and the gold studs as well as the hexagon glitters are also from Born Pretty Store. And I wanna remind you, if you go and buy from there, take advantage of the discount code JVNT10 to get 10 percent off your purchase. ;) (It's good everywhere on their site, not just for nail art or fashion items!)

 photo DSC06809Large.jpg

 photo DSC07029Large.jpg

Our next contestant is this very simple purple mani, where I used different glitter polishes and made them matte so that they wouldn't be so typical glitter manis.

 photo DSC07040Large.jpg

 photo DSC07038Large.jpg

I absolutely love the colors here, they work pretty nicely together. And this shows that sometimes simple works even more nicely than detailed. I think.

 photo DSC07035Large.jpg

The polishes used here are China Glaze Lovely Lilac, China Glaze Your Present Required, China Glaze Charmed, I'm Sure, China Glaze Be Merry, Be Bright, Essie A Cut Above and L'Oreal Color Riche Confettis.

 photo DSC07037Large.jpg

So that's all I have for you today, now the only question remains:

Which one you like better, the detailed, or the simple glitter sammich one? Let me know in the comments! ♥

Now I'm gonna go watch Lord of the Rings with my fiance, who has never seen it (can you believe??). I'll be back tomorrow with another post, so see you then!

Have a fabulous day! ♥

Baby It's Cold Outside ♥

Heya chicas!

How are you all today? ♥

Who else is excited about the Olympic hockey? I am, as the Finnish team will be fighting for medals - only they need to find out whether they'll be in the bronze game or gold game by playing against team Sweden the coming afternoon. I'm so happy I get to watch the game before work that I actually planned on baking a big pile of cupcakes for it. (And they make a nice present for the relatives we're going to visit on Saturday!)

But however, today I wanted to share a winter outfit with you. This is from the very cold days, but I can admit wearing this kind of outfits kinda lot lately, even though the weather isn't that cold anymore. So, without further ado, my winter's go-to kind of look:

Coat: Rukka/Intersport Knit: Cubus Jeans: secondhand Shoes: SpiritStore Necklace: Boohoo Bag: Boohoo Beanie: DIY

So this is the way I usually dress in winter time, when it's cold. Pretty simple, but accessorized so that it has somewhat it's own twist. I absolutely love the oxblood jeans I bought from another blogger, they're so comfy and cool and I've been nearly living in them. (That is, when I'm not living in my sports pants, haha.) What else could I say... Oh, I tried to match my boots to my furry hood there, can you see?

So, that's all for today, I try to get a nail art post and a baking post up for you this week, at least - hopefully even more - but we'll see what I can come up with. ;)

I still wanna know what you guys think about this look, so please tell me on the comments! ♥

Now, I gotta go catch some sleep to be up early enough to make the food for the hockey game. See you soon!

Have a fabulous day ♥

Furry Accessories ♥

Hello lovelies!

So, yesterday and the day after didn't leave me any time to blog - boo! But today, I have a little outfit post for you, before going to get my workout and early dinner done before work.

These pictures were taken last month, when it was still a bit colder - and when neither of us had flu, so we could actually have some photoshoots. Anyway, soon I hope my man will get healthy too, and that we can take more pics. Tomorrow, I will post a Valentine's Day nail art inspiration post with two manicures to inspire you for Friday, and on Friday I hope I can get a haul post to show for you. But we'll see!

Okay, so, to the outfit. This was something casual I wore last month before the weather got actually arctic, so don't worry if I seem like I don't have enough clothes. I do.

Very simple outfit, more of playing with colors and fur than really anything else. Perfect for running errands and spending the day with friends.

Like I said, on the next post, I will show you ideas for Valentine's Day themed nail art, and I really hope you'll enjoy that.

Have a lovely day! ♥
