Foxy Fall Nails

New season, new nail art. Whos's excited? Because I am. I've talked about this on my Insta briefly, but autumn time makes me feel more alive and creative. So it's no wonder this feels like a time to bring you new nail art. And while this is being posted, I'm working on the next design, so if you like nail art, no worries, there will be more. But let's first get to today's design:

Kitten Moves In

In June, before midsummer, I was browsing the cat adoption websites like I usually do, when one application caught my eye. It was a midnight black kitty with yellow green eyes, looking to be the only cat in a family since he had hard time with other cats. The story hit me since basically the cat is introvert among its own species, much like I am amongst humans.

Cats & Purple

Hey lovelies! How are you today? ♥ I've been having a crazy week with not enough sleep, but I'm super pumped for the weekend and other things so I'm not even feeling bad about the fatigue I have. After all, that's temporary. Next week I have time to sleep more because I get a project off my hands.

Today, I wanted to share some older nail designs with you. I found these from the archives, and I really still liked them, so why not.

Montreal Diaries: Sloths, Flowers and Italian Food

Hello lovelies! How are you today? ♥ I've been keeping quite busy with work and life lately - like yesterday when I had to reorganize my closet after 10pm - so I'm sorry for not having had enough focus on the writing. I've been quite an active instablogger though, so if you want to see more of me, Instagram is the way to go (I'm @silvertigo there, and so into posting to the stories section - so much more me than Snapchat, not that I hate SC in any way, shape or form).

Today, I'm eager to share our adventure in the Montreal Biodome and its surroundings.

Tropical vs. Ikat

Hello lovelies!

How are you all today? ♥

I was meant to post this yesterday but celebrating our wedding kinda had a toll on me. I actually took an hour long nap last night at seven, which I never do since it messes up my schedule. But now it was more than needed. I guess I can't party like I used to anymore without getting some proper sleep on the way. Anyway, while I'm waiting to get all the pictures from people from the wedding, I have lots of other things to post for you. Like today, when we are going to talk about nails.

DSC07940 (Large)

First up is this tropical design, which was strongly inspired by Sam from PackaPunchPolish. I wore this one to zoo (see pics of the trip on the previous post) so I had to have an animal in there.

DSC07958 (Large)

I personally really liked this design, because it was good practice for free hand painting. Obviously I should get acrylic paints to do this kind of things, but that shall be next months to-do. (As I just placed kinda big nail polish order last night... Who is excited to see that?) I think I did kinda good job with the nail polish here though.

DSC07949 (Large)DSC07943 (Large)

I used quite a lot of polishes here, as the picture shows. The polishes were China Glaze White On White, Liquid Leather, Treble Maker, The Grass Is Lime Greener, Red-Y To Rave, Sun-Kissed, Splish Splash, Home Sweet House Music, Glow With The Flow, Surfin' For Boys and In The Lime Light. (at least, but I'm sure I forgot some. I should start writiiing these down when I paint.) I used one dotting tool and a thin nail art brush to do the design.

DSC07951 (Large)DSC07965 (Large)

Next up is this Ikat print design. For this I actually had to custom make a green by mixing yellow and green neon polishes because I didn't have the shade I wanted. Other than that this was basically just technique training.

DSC07999 (Large)

I liked this design quite a bit and wore it for midsummer. I think I will be doing Aztec and Ikat prints quite much in Autumn, because they are fun to wear and they better my hand-coordination when I need to paint a lot of details. My hand painting is not nearly where I want it to be yet, so this should be good for that.

DSC07983 (Large)DSC07976 (Large)

The polishes I used were all by China Glaze: White On White, Liquid Leather, Glow With The Flow and the green is mixture of Daisy Know My Name and Treble Maker if I remember correctly. Like I said, I need to start writing these down.

DSC07989 (Large)

That's all I have for you today, I really hope you enjoyed this post. I would be happy to take in your nail art ideas (no matter how challenging) so that you could see designs and techniques and so on that would be helpful for you. Also, please leave any tutorial requests below as I will try to start filming that kind of things on videos as soon as I can.

What did you think about these nails - and do you have a favorite? Let me know in the comments!

Tomorrow we will have another fun post, but in the meantime, you can follow me on social media, where I post all sorts of stuff that doesn't make it into the blog. Like the #julybeautychallenge I have going on on Instagram, where you can today see what's my favorite new beauty release of the summer. Any guesses? Anyway, I will see you all tomorrow.

Have a fabulous week

Helsinki Adventures

Hello lovelies!

How are you all today? ♥

We've had our wedding party today, but I didn't want to leave you without a post so I wrote this beforehand so you'd have something to read if you're having some free time this weekend. Today, I'm telling you a bit about our day in Helsinki last month.

Like you might have seen in social media, we had a little adventure in Korkeasaari zoo with our friends. It's been a while since we went there, so it was nice to be back.

DSC07858 (Large)

And this time, we took a boat!

DSC07861 (Large)DSC07869 (Large)DSC07875 (Large)

This magnificent birdie was walking free in the zoo, which is pretty awesome. And it didn't even attack me even though I was kinda close with my camera. Below, some of my favorite photos from the trip.

This little fella came to say hi up close through the glass.

And this big kitty also came close to see people. Tigers are so gorgeous, I really wish we people can make them not be so extinct or endangered in the future.

DSC07891 (Large)

My inner Jack Sparrow really wants to borrow that boat!

And below, my outfit for that day, shot in a horrible light but it was such a nice outfit I really wanted to share it here.

Plaid shirt: secondhand Top: H&M Shorts: Gina Tricot Tights: ASOS Sneakers: Boohoo Scarf: gift from my parents(?) Earrings: Gina Tricot Ear cuff: gift from my parents Bracelets: H&M, gift from a friend Necklace: Gina Tricot Rings: Gina Tricot, H&M, eBay

Had a kind of edgy look that day, it was sunny and warm so the shorts were totally appropriate - but the plaid had to play an accessory when it was the hottest time of the day because long sleeves were just too much. But this look also worked with the shirt around waist so that's cool. (Sadly I don't have a picture of that for you.

What do you guys think about the look (or the other pics)? Let me know in the comments!

That's all for you today, I hope you're having an amazing weekend! Our party and other fun things can be seen on my social media channels today and later on as well, and I'm hoping I can create some sort of a post about the wedding later on as well. See you tomorrow or on Monday the latest here in the blog.

Have a fantastic weekend, I love you all ♥

Pink Galaxy vs. Cute Animals

Hello lovelies!

How are you doing today? ♥

I finally had a day to chill out, breathe deep and take time off from everything. Also, some wedding planning has taken place. I'm so excited to see our tiny party coming together, and next month I get to do the last preparations. It seems pretty overwhelming that in couple of months I will actually be a married lady. That's crazy.

But anyway, today I wanted to share these nail art designs with you.

DSC05886 (Large)

First is this pink galaxy thing that I created a while back (before Easter) and absolutely loved wearing. If you have been reading my blog for a while now, you probably know that I love galaxy prints a lot. And when it's pink, it's even better.

DSC05891 (Large)DSC05898 (Large)

I added lots of glitter to make the mani extra fabulous, and I think that worked quite well. Also, looking these pictures make me wanna paint galaxy mani on my nails again.

DSC05907 (Large)

Polishes I used were White On White, Escaping Reality, Seas The Day, Float On, Feel The Breeze, Sweet Hook and Fairy Dust by China Glaze, Glitter Bomb Disco Diva by Rimmel and Madeleine by Make Up Store. For the decorating I used thin nail art brush, dotting tool and small pieces of makeup sponges.

DSC05917 (Large)DSC05925 (Large)

The other mani is actually my this year's Easter mani, which you probably have already seen on my Facebook and Instagram, but let's post it here as well in case you lot would like some inspiration for next year. But of course, why not paint cute animals and such on other occasions as well, there's no rule against that.

DSC05942 (Large)DSC05933 (Large)

This was pretty unusual mani for me, as I actually painted some figures and such, instead of creating simple patterns and all. I think I did pretty well, but that's really up to you.

DSC05937 (Large)

The polishes I used were White On White, Sun Upon My Skin, Grass Is Lime Greener, I'm With The Lifeguard, In The Limelight, Float On by China Glaze, Green Couture by L'Oreal and pink, purple and light blue nail art pens by Kiss. Also, a glitter top coat Portland Dream from Viva La Diva collection by Alessandro.

DSC05928 (Large)

So there you go, two different manis, both of which have their pros and cons. But now it's your turn to say:

What do you think about these manis? Let me know in the comments!

I'm going to hit the bed now, but I'll be back tomorrow evening with another little post. Stay tuned my darlings, and I'll talk to you soon.

Have a fabulous start for your week ♥

Kuopio Petting Zoo ♥

Heya lovelies!

How was your weekend? ♥

I've been relaxing and doing some DIYs, like you could have seen on my Instagram. This is so what I need before the last week before the school. I can't believe I'll get back to school after few days. It's pretty exciting, even if my schedule will be crazy. That just means I need to learn some beforehand writing for that. ;)

Anyways, today I really wanted to share some pictures from the beginning of July with you. I've been crazy busy, taken that I never posted these before. But here you go:

Roadtripping...

...sparkling wine...

...and other treats.

Not a bad way to start my already-gone summer vacation. We headed to Kuopio, where I used to live before, and planned to see friends and family there. Not many pictures from the week, since it was rainy and we didn't do too much, but on Friday, we went to a petting zoo.

 photo DSC09861Large.jpg photo DSC09864Large.jpg photo DSC09865Large.jpg photo DSC09876Large.jpg photo DSC09905Large.jpg photo DSC09913Large.jpg photo DSC09917Large.jpg photo DSC09920Large.jpg photo DSC09928Large.jpg photo DSC09960Large.jpg photo DSC09964Large.jpg

This was the first day of the week that at least tried to be sunny. At least a bit. So it was the perfect time to go see some animals. And there, they actually let you to pet animals, which is pretty cool to me. It's another story whether the animals let you touch them, though.

After this, it was time to head to the center and get something to eat:

 photo DSC00059Large.jpg photo DSC00061Large.jpg photo DSC00062Large.jpg photo DSC00067Large.jpg

We went to Kummisetä, which is definitely a restaurant I would recommend. They have great choices on meals, and they clearly let you know on the menu whether it's gluten free or not. And that is a deal-breaker for me nowadays. I was pleasantly surprised by the fact they serve gluten free cheesecake. And it was super tasty as well.

As for the outfit, I had to go for a bit warmer one than I had hoped. But luckily, a good pair of leggings gets you pretty far.

Dress: secondhand Leggings: SpiritStore Shoes: SpiritStore Jacket: VILA Sunglasses: H&M Necklace: Gina Tricot Bracelets: Europehouse, Gina Tricot, H&M Rings: Gina Tricots

So, that's my look for that day. I really kinda liked it, even if it's not the most usual me.

Let me know what you think about this post, and the outfit, in the comments below ♥

Later, I'll be sharing another Kuopio outfit with you, and also, there will be a little DIY post. Hopefully, I will fit other posts in this week as well. See you soon!

Have a great day, dolls!

Let's be friends in IG!
