Punk Vibes

Hello lovelies!

How are you today? ♥

I'm so nervous right now as today I'm going to my celiac disease checkup and I can't eat before 2 pm and it will be super unpleasant. Thank goodness it will be quick once I get there. It's such a lovely way to spend the day off. But I will get some little posts prepped now in the morning so I think it's all good. (And also get to do some school stuff, which is semi interesting as well.)

Today, I wanted to share this quick outfit post with you. It has one of my more casual looks from this summer, and even though it's nothing fancy, I thought it would be fun to share it with you. I need to get these warm weather looks out of the way so that we can get on with this season.

So there, a very simple, bit punk vibe look. I know my bra is kind of showing through, but let's just say that's part of the punk in there. I knew it was there while shooting, so it's all good. This outfit kind of reminds me of early days of Paramore for some reason. And that's pretty nice.

What do you guys think about this look? Let me know in the comments below!

In the evening, I may have another post up simply because this was supposed to be up last night but our internet connection broke down. Also, check out my Instagram later today for a mani swap and the color challenge of the day. If you know any fun photo challenges, I would appreciate if you told them to me in the comments below so I can maybe do them on Instagram. I will see you all tomorrow!

Have a fabulous day ♥

Rock vs. Neon ♥

Hello lovelies!

How are you all? ♥

I've been pretty swamped with school and all - and it seems there's no end to it in few weeks. So if I'm slow with the posts, be patient. I have to schedule my to-do's and try to put in as much blogging as I can, but of course I need to prioritize my school stuff so I won't have deadlines in summer.

But on a lighter note, I came here today to share a nail art post with you all. This time, yet again two very different manis and I hope you guys like them!

DSC04966 (Large)

So the first design is this rock inspired one I wore to a gig (Amaranthe) a while back. The spikes were kind of a pain to wear as they pretty much fell off in an hour (yes, I really need to get nail glue), but otherwise I really loved the design. It gave me an excuse to try out the rhinestones there for the first time.

DSC04979 (Large)DSC04975 (Large)

I also really loved the chrome polish, as it's something I haven't ever worn in my nails before this. The consistency was a tiny bit tricky to work with, but I think I did a decent job.

DSC04986 (Large)

The polish I used is China Glaze I'd Melt For You, and the studs, spikes and rhinestones are from Born Pretty Store.

DSC04972 (Large)DSC05058 (Large)

The next one is more colorful, and kind of great for summer. I was sick when I made these, and thought nice nails would make me feel better. They didn't, but at least they looked nice.

DSC05069 (Large)DSC05061 (Large)

I personally liked the color scheme a lot, and would definitely wear something like this again now that I'm flu free. And at least in summer with cute outfits.

DSC05074 (Large)

The polishes I used were China Glaze Highlight Of My Summer and White On White, and a neon yellow one from Depend. The triangle rhinestones and round studs are from Born Pretty Store.

I hope you liked these nails here, and that at least some of you would be a tiny bit inspired. I have been pretty inspired with doing my nails lately, although I feel I need some new colors in my arsenal. In May, I think I might actually be able to do that.

What do you think bout these nails? Let me know in the comments below!

Now, I'm heading to bed so I won't wake up all sore and tired after all the workout and work today. Tomorrow, there's so much to do I really don't know how to handle everything, but I will figure out a way to get through it. I just started a new workout routine to be in better shape in summer (and for our wedding), and I'm not sure how that will affect on my muscles. But we'll see tomorrow and I will let you know in the next post. I will be back as soon as I can!

Have a fantastic day ♥

Spikes vs. Stripes

Heya lovelies!

How are you all? ♥

It's getting super close to the weekend, which is very exciting, as we will be receiving guests from another town for a couple of days. We will be having nice adventures and I might just give myself a permission to leave my camera home and just take some random shots with my phone. I don't know.

But however, before weekend I still have this and one other post for you, so let's get that started, shall we?

Yet again, I have some nail art for you to see. (And if you rather see outfit post, just wait for tomorrow!)

 photo DSC07066Large.jpg

First up, a mix and match mani with mint, gold and leopard print, which I loved so, so much.

 photo DSC07059Large.jpg

 photo DSC07057Large.jpg

I totally filled these nails with spikes, studs and such. I gotta admit, it was a lot of work but I think it was totally worth it.

 photo DSC07063Large.jpg

 photo DSC07058Large.jpg

The nail polishes used here were China Glaze For Audrey, China Glaze Kalahari Kiss, Essie Licorice and MUA Cosmetics Mud Pie. The studs, spikes, gold pearls and black rhinestones are from Born Pretty Store, and the gold striping tape is probably from some Finnish nail art site but it's been forever since I purchased it that I don't really remember. But you can get that from Born Pretty Store or any other nail art site.

Remember, if you go and order from Born Pretty Store, you can freely use the discount code JVNT10
to get a 10% off your purchase at the checkout. (And no, I'm not getting money for mentioning that, they were just nice to give this code while collaborating with me.)

 photo DSC07215Large.jpg

The next one is not as colorful, but yet pretty. Lots of glitter and stripes, so this one is totally me (like the last one wasn't, haha).

 photo DSC07221Large.jpg

 photo DSC07218Large.jpg

I was figuring that pink roses look nice with grey/silver, so that's how these were created.

 photo DSC07217Large.jpg

 photo DSC07216Large.jpg

The polishes used were Ciaté Vintage, China Glaze Gossip Over Gimlets, Sally Hansen Sweetie Pie, pink and white nail art paints by Kiss, L'Oréal Color Riche Green Couture, and China Glaze Some Like It Haute. The matte top coat is Born Pretty Super Matte. The star studs and little rhinestones are from Born Pretty Store. I created the stripes with Nail Vinyls, which I will be talking about more when I've tried all the different ones I ordered. ;)

 photo DSC07230Large.jpg

So that's all I have for you today, tomorrow, I'll be posting an outfit post (and hopefully will have more those now that the spring is starting to inspire me better). Hopefully you all liked this one!

Which of these you like better? Would you like a tutorial for any of the elements you see on these manicures? Let me know in the comments! ♥

Now, I gotta go get sleep, but I'll be back tomorrow, so see you then!

Have a lovely day ♥

Sequin Jacket ♥

Hey guys ♥

How are you all today?

I'm still bit adjusting for my early bird morning schedule, but luckily this shift leaves my creative time (which is the evening) open for writing and planning blog posts. So that is pretty awesome, and I also feel more energetic even though I have to get up at ungodly hour to get to work in time.

Things this week has already taught me though:

♥ Breakfast is possible even as early as 5am

♥ It is possible to get ready for work in 30 minutes

♥ Sometimes technology just hates you for no visible reason

♥ There aren't many things more beautiful than a sunny winter morning

♥ A warm coat can actually make you love the cold days

Have you learned anything new this week?

But the real reason I started typing this post is an outfit we photographed before the really cold front hit this city. Now I couldn't imagine going out without a coat just to take pictures, it's way too cold for that. At least, to me.

 photo DSC06567Large.jpg

So this is an outfit I wore earlier this month when I really just wanted to kind of dress up without really dressing up. So I put on a simple look and just added the sequin blazer to make it more glam. There's really not much more to say about the look. Except that now that I look at it, I would change the shoes. :D

I totally love wearing that blazer and can't wait for the spring so that I can properly rock it outside. Now, because of the weather, I'm kinda forced to snuggle in chunky knits and thick coats, but that won't last too long before the weather gets warmer. ;) So I might as well enjoy it. I have some more wintery outfits coming up pretty soon here, so if you wanna see how I get by on winter, just stay tuned. ♥

Now, we're gonna hit the grocery store and after that, it's relationship time for us before this girl needs to hit the bed again. But, I have a little post already planned for tomorrow, so if you like my posts, you don't have to wait for long.

Have a lovely day!

Hi lovelies!

How are you all today? ♥

I've been enjoying my day off and celebrating a bit more my b-day. We have been out most of the day, and only couple of hours have I had the chance to sit down and open my laptop. I don't know about you all, but sometimes when it's so nice outside, sitting down to blog feels like a lot of work - whereas on winter it feels like the most natural thing to do, as it's so cold outside. :D

But not to worry, I'm not going anywhere. Just balancing with the summer weather and the hobby that I love so much.

Today, however, I wanted to share this outfit I had completely and utterly forgotten about. (And, it's from the time my bangs were in control - I'm desperately in need of a haircut!)

I love these earrings so much - though it must be pretty obvious to you too, as they've been in so many outfit posts lately.

Umm... I seriously promise to work on my posing this year. I'm so awkward! :D

Skirt: thrifted Shirt: Gina Tricot Ballet flats: Skopunkten Leather jacket: H&M Scarf: Cubus Spike necklace: Boohoo Earrings: Bik Bok Cross ring: Gina Tricot Round rings: JC

So that kind of a simple outfit. Once again, so many elements I personally love, short skirt, spikes, cross, black and white theme... Totally works. But the question is, what do you think about this look?

The manicure seen in this post can be found here, if you want to take a closer look. ;)

But this blogger is off now, to go take some new photos, watch TV and then get some sleep.

Hope you're all having a great week so far! ♥

Blog ya later,

xoxo

Leather Shorts with Blazer

Hi lovelies!

Happy Thursday ♥

Today is a national holiday in Finland, which means no school, no work, no mandatory things to do - and that's kinda awesome. We're going to Pori to fix my fiance's bike with his dad, and to go out eating with a friend or two. Sadly, it's been predicted to rain the whole day, but let's hope people have been wrong about that!

But what I really wanted to share with you today, is an outfit I had on the day I got my hair done. Even though my hair stylist knows my taste pretty well, I always think it's good to dress the part, so the professional can see what my style is like nowadays. And here's what I had on for the occasion:

PU Shorts: Seppälä Tights: H&M Biker Boots: Ebay Blazer: H&M Spiked Shoulder Pads: Boohoo Top: too old so that I could remember, lol Necklace: Gina Tricot Skull Bracelet: Gina Tricot Pearl Bracelets: Seppälä Triangle Rings: Nelly.com Rose Ring: SpiritStore

So there, edgy and girly, wrapped into one. I really personally liked combining all these items, but I do get if there's too much for some. I guess I could do a better job simplifying my looks, but oh well. We only live once, let's have fun. I'm sorry you have to see so much of the biker boots, I am a bit obsessed about them. Luckily the weather is getting warmer so they start to bee a bit too much!

But what do you think about this look? Is there an item you've been obsessed about lately? Share your thoughts! ♥

I'm off to bed now, or, well off to a cup of decaf tea and an episode or two of Desperate Housewives. Gotta get my relaxation. ;)

Hope you'll have a fun day!

Blog ya later,

xoxo
