Red, Black, White ♥

Hey lovelies!

How are you all? ♥

Again, I'm posting super late, but today I'm really struggling getting everything done before the guests arrive, so I'm cutting some hours off my sleeping time (kids, never do the same!) as I didn't want to not blog today. I still need to tidy up the place a bit in the morning, so I guess I'll end up with like 4 hours of sleep or something. But thankfully, on Sunday I get to sleep in a bit and on Wednesday I'll actually have a day off for once!

Anyway, today I just wanted to quickly share a simple outfit with you before going to plan one for tomorrow's hockey game.

This outfit is something I wore couple of weeks ago when I was hanging out with the boys, bowling, playing pool, etc. But I still tried to keep a bit girly, so I added some red to the bottom and on my lips as well.

Top: secondhand Jeans: secondhand Belt: Gina Tricot Coat: Boohoo Scarf: Mango Chain ring: Nelly.com Necklace: Gina Tricot Bracelets: Gina Tricot, Born Pretty Store Boots: SpiritStore

So, this was my chill out outfit, very simple with colors I really like, and it also has two secondhand items which is always a plus.

But now, let me know: What do you think about this look? ♥

I need to go pick up my clothes for tomorrow and then get some sleep. I'll get back as soon as I can - on Monday by the latest - and I also try to update my Instagram, Twitter or Facebook during the weekend so you can catch me there if you need me!

Have a fabulous weekend ♥

Spikes vs. Stripes

Heya lovelies!

How are you all? ♥

It's getting super close to the weekend, which is very exciting, as we will be receiving guests from another town for a couple of days. We will be having nice adventures and I might just give myself a permission to leave my camera home and just take some random shots with my phone. I don't know.

But however, before weekend I still have this and one other post for you, so let's get that started, shall we?

Yet again, I have some nail art for you to see. (And if you rather see outfit post, just wait for tomorrow!)

 photo DSC07066Large.jpg

First up, a mix and match mani with mint, gold and leopard print, which I loved so, so much.

 photo DSC07059Large.jpg

 photo DSC07057Large.jpg

I totally filled these nails with spikes, studs and such. I gotta admit, it was a lot of work but I think it was totally worth it.

 photo DSC07063Large.jpg

 photo DSC07058Large.jpg

The nail polishes used here were China Glaze For Audrey, China Glaze Kalahari Kiss, Essie Licorice and MUA Cosmetics Mud Pie. The studs, spikes, gold pearls and black rhinestones are from Born Pretty Store, and the gold striping tape is probably from some Finnish nail art site but it's been forever since I purchased it that I don't really remember. But you can get that from Born Pretty Store or any other nail art site.

Remember, if you go and order from Born Pretty Store, you can freely use the discount code JVNT10
to get a 10% off your purchase at the checkout. (And no, I'm not getting money for mentioning that, they were just nice to give this code while collaborating with me.)

The next one is not as colorful, but yet pretty. Lots of glitter and stripes, so this one is totally me (like the last one wasn't, haha).

 photo DSC07218Large.jpg

I was figuring that pink roses look nice with grey/silver, so that's how these were created.

 photo DSC07217Large.jpg

 photo DSC07216Large.jpg

The polishes used were Ciaté Vintage, China Glaze Gossip Over Gimlets, Sally Hansen Sweetie Pie, pink and white nail art paints by Kiss, L'Oréal Color Riche Green Couture, and China Glaze Some Like It Haute. The matte top coat is Born Pretty Super Matte. The star studs and little rhinestones are from Born Pretty Store. I created the stripes with Nail Vinyls, which I will be talking about more when I've tried all the different ones I ordered. ;)

So that's all I have for you today, tomorrow, I'll be posting an outfit post (and hopefully will have more those now that the spring is starting to inspire me better). Hopefully you all liked this one!

Which of these you like better? Would you like a tutorial for any of the elements you see on these manicures? Let me know in the comments! ♥

Now, I gotta go get sleep, but I'll be back tomorrow, so see you then!

Have a lovely day ♥

Red With Gray ♥

Heya everyone!

How are you all today? ♥

I'm typing on an ungodly hour (2:20am to be exact) since we had a little independent fire escape practice again at the building, and I find sleeping a bit tough after that. Oh well, at least it gives me a reason to blog. I noticed I have yet another wintery outfit to share with you, and this one also has some snow in the background. Not that we'd have that anymore, it's all practically gone. I hope that means spring, I have so many ideas for the warmer weather and ice-free sidewalks.

Anyhow, to the outfit:

A red-gray look with casual elements, and me rediscovering one of my favorite shirts.

Coat: Rukka/Intersport Hat: Tokmanni Scarf: secondhand Necklace: Gina Tricot Jeans: secondhand Boots: eBay Rings: JC, Gina Tricot, H&M

This was one of my favorite looks to wear this winter - yes, I consider winter being over already as the snow is mostly gone - and I can't wait to get to the full spring looks. There still will be some transition outfits for sure as the weather is still kinda cold, but hopefully I can already switch to lighter jackets/coats and maybe even wear skirts. ;)

But, let me know what you guys think about this look!

Now, I gotta go try and get some sleep before morning, when we gotta get up early and run some errands the the city. But I'll be back as soon as I can with more posts!

Have a fabulous day ♥

Detailed vs. Simple ♥

Hey lovelies!

How are you all? ♥

Who else watched the Olympics this weekend? I was so excited about the ice hockey medal games - and for those who don't follow sports, team Finland won bronze against team USA which was quite an achievement for the team, even if we had Selänne, Timonen, Salo and other awesome players. I'm so proud of the team, it was great experience for the young players and a great way from some of the older ones to end their journey in the national team. So again, thank you team Finland, thank you Teemu Selänne, and Tuukka Rask, you rock! Awesome playing.

Also I'm so happy for team Canada for winning the gold, totally deserved win!

Luckily, after a week it's time for the Oscars, so I don't have the time to be upset about the Olympic hockey to be over. I need to make some great food and such for the event - hopefully I can make a themed post before Sunday about the snacks and stuff so maybe you can enjoy the same things I do. ;)

But anyways, now to the real topic today, nails:

 photo DSC06807Large.jpg

First up is this pretty detailed burgundy-gold-navy mani I created last month. And it's appropriately shot with a golden jewelry, haha.

 photo DSC06818Large.jpg

I'm not sure where I was going with this mani, but apparently I tried many things that happily go together well.

 photo DSC06815Large.jpg

 photo DSC06800Large.jpg

The polishes I used for this mani are Essie Thigh High, China Glaze Goldie But Goodie, Essie Liqorice and Ciaté Power Dressing. The giraffe print is from a Born Pretty Store plate QA25, and the gold studs as well as the hexagon glitters are also from Born Pretty Store. And I wanna remind you, if you go and buy from there, take advantage of the discount code JVNT10 to get 10 percent off your purchase. ;) (It's good everywhere on their site, not just for nail art or fashion items!)

 photo DSC06809Large.jpg

 photo DSC07029Large.jpg

Our next contestant is this very simple purple mani, where I used different glitter polishes and made them matte so that they wouldn't be so typical glitter manis.

 photo DSC07040Large.jpg

 photo DSC07038Large.jpg

I absolutely love the colors here, they work pretty nicely together. And this shows that sometimes simple works even more nicely than detailed. I think.

 photo DSC07035Large.jpg

The polishes used here are China Glaze Lovely Lilac, China Glaze Your Present Required, China Glaze Charmed, I'm Sure, China Glaze Be Merry, Be Bright, Essie A Cut Above and L'Oreal Color Riche Confettis.

 photo DSC07037Large.jpg

So that's all I have for you today, now the only question remains:

Which one you like better, the detailed, or the simple glitter sammich one? Let me know in the comments! ♥

Now I'm gonna go watch Lord of the Rings with my fiance, who has never seen it (can you believe??). I'll be back tomorrow with another post, so see you then!

Have a fabulous day! ♥

Let's be friends in IG!
